Brown, Sadijah Wallace, and Gisela Alvizures to review their experience being trained during the Transformative Justice Coalition’s Gen Z and Millennial Voting Rights Leadership Training held April 2nd - 8th in Phoenix, Arizona. This event prepared 47 young people to be non-partisan voting rights advocates in their communities, with 19 panels with 37 expert speakers, the HBCU All-Stars Game, networking and debrief dinner discussions, a reception, and a community activation project.

Maryland holds the fourth highest percentage of African American citizens in America. It is the only state in America with an African American Governor. Maryland also boasts an African American women as the Speaker of the House. Yet Maryland taxpayers have supported the naming of monuments after people who stood for slavery and against the advancement and inclusion of African Americans.
