The Igniting Change Radio Show on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time, entitled “The U.S. Supreme Court Okays Second Class U.S. Residents & Citizens!” will be live with Radio Show Co-Hosts and Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC) Co-Leaders Attorneys Barbara Arnwine, Esq. and Daryl Jones, Esq. and will feature special guests Carl Snowden, Andres Cubillos and Dr. Karen McRae.
Our guests today will discuss two (2) interrelated matters; (1) the United States Supreme Court’s decision to allow race and other factors to be considered during immigration stops and raids; and (2) the creation of a mega-detention facility for Immigrant Detainees in El Paso, Texas.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, the United States Supreme Court, using the infamous “Shadow Docket,” cleared the way for racial profiling during immigration raids, sweeps and kidnappings. In a 6-3 decision, you can guess who the six (6) are, the Supreme Court halted a federal judge’s order that barred “roving patrols” from snatching people off California streets and detaining them for questioning based on how they looked, the language they spoke, the type of work that they performed and where they happened to “encounter” ICE agents.
Justice Sotomayor, joined by Justice Kagan and Justice Brown-Jackson, dissented from the court’s order and issued a blistering attack on the court’s decision. Justice Sotomayor indicated that “rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent.”
Moreover, in August, 2025 federal funding, $1.24 Billion dollars, allowed the building of an immigration facility with the capacity to hold 5,000 Immigrants in a “giant tent city.” Upon completion, it will become the largest immigration holding facility in U.S. History. Long white tents are the cornerstone of this El Paso, TX facility. The facility, which opened in August, 2025, has hard floors and walls that do not go to the ceiling. It is in the middle of sand dunes and scrub brush. Some of the detainees from “Alligator Alcatraz” were moved to this facility. Many elected officials have been denied access to the facility to see the conditions under which the detainees are being held…hmm, this sounds like a violation of Eighth Amendment (cruel and unusual punishment claim waiting to be litigated – of course, this U.S. Supreme Court may decide that only proven US Citizens are entitled to not be treated cruelly and unusually).

What impact will this decision have on African immigrants, Asian immigrants, Dominican, and everyone except white people?

Considering the Supreme Court decision, the construction of the largest ever immigration facility in the desert of Texas, and the increase in ICE officer funding, what does this indicate to you regarding US policy?
