Baltimore County is the 3rd most populous county in Maryland at 831,128 people and has the third largest land area of all counties in Maryland. Many of the County Executive’s greatest n achievements, especially in education and job creation are worthy of replication, not only in Maryland but nationwide.

Elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014, County Executive Kamenetz has had a trailblazing tenure attracting unprecedented business development and jobs into Baltimore County. Unemployment in the County has been cut in half! He has also been a strong leader in promoting educational opportunities resulting in a 90% school graduation rate and no achievement gap between Black and White students! As our show will air during American Education Week, we will learn of his future plans for more educational improvements in the years to come.
Our show will cover many issues confronting the County of Baltimore including: Given the great increase in business development and the significant drop in unemployment, what are the goals for future business expansion in the county? As education has been one of the foremost areas of accomplishment, what are the next priorities? What programs do you believe are the most accountable for Baltimore County having the rare honor of having a 90% graduation rate with no achievement gap between Black and White students? What steps Baltimore County has taken to address immigration reform? How can Baltimore County become a leader in police diversity and reform?
