Samantha Master is a Black, queer, feminist activist, advocate, and educator. Her work at the intersections of racial, gender and LGBTQ justice has been chronicled in several publications including TheRoot, TheGrio, Swerv Magazine, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, HBCU Digest, and most recently in the multi-award winning film, The New Black. She has been named a National Black Justice Coalition Emerging Leader, is a member of the Black Youth Project 100, and a board member of Serving and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders (SMYAL)–an LGBTQ youth-focused non-profit.
